25/07/2014 ~ #NicholasA ~ 15 Success Habits You Need To Develop. #5 Focus on Providing Value.

If you focus on providing value and forget about rewards, success will take care of itself ~ Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motors company.

How much value do you provide to the people around you? Are you the one your friends seek when they need guide or help on important stuffs? How valuable are you in the work place? If your team or group is to make a list of the 5 most valuable individuals, would your name be on the list? Or do you think it does not really matter?  Truth is, it really does matter in the end.

You must understand that success is a measure of how much value you provide, the higher your value, the higher you net worth. If you’re not that successful, it means you need to look for ways to be more useful, ways to provide more value, instead of working out new schemes to make money. It’s a different mindset, a less selfish and more effective one to attract success.

People pay for value not just product or faces. That is why a diamond and a gold ring can never sell at the same price. They are both rings, they are worn on the same finger but the difference in price is in the individual values that they have to offer.

Jane Goodall wrote ~ What you do makes a difference, you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

Nothing makes you special or more significant if you can’t deliver a value higher than what the next man can. If he can deliver more value than you can, then….you can guess what might happen.

You want to be a success? Increase your value and you will be glad you did.

If you can only believe it, you can achieve it!

Have a lovely Friday!

I honour you!

24/07/2014 ~ #NicholasA ~ 15 Success Habits You Need To Develop. #4 Understand Obstacles.

The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people ~ Randy Pausch.

When you experience set backs, delays and a lot of “NOs” in the pursuit of your goal or dream, they are meant for you to gain more experience and become better in that aspect, and giving time you will soon realize that you learnt more with that obstacles than you would have learnt naturally without it. It gives you an opportunity to reassess your strengths and weaknesses and seek ways of becoming better.

Albert Einstein said “Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them”.

Most people loathe obstacles and fear them. Such mindset makes it very hard to achieve success. Obstacles should be seen as helpful tools and relevant lessons.
I must also add, it could be one of the most frustrating and painful experience on the path of success, but if you just don’t give up, you will celebrate in the end of the day.

Learn what every obstacle has to teach, and see them as signs that you’re making progress.

Believe and you will get there.

Have a nice day.

I honour you!

23/07/2014 ~ #NicholasA ~ 15 Success Habits You Need To Develop. #3 Productivity!

The WordWeb dictionary describes productivity as the quality of being productive or having the power to produce. It’s an attribute that actually defines your worth in an organization, team or business arena. The higher your productivity, the higher your worth and the better your chances at success. To be productive, it is required that you put in a lot of work and be focused on the goal.
Success doesn’t come to those who sit back and wait. It’s important to both work and keep your focus on the goals. Hard work alone will keep you stuck in average existence. You need to have a high vision as it will guide you to success.

By working hard you’re making life owe you. By having a high vision you’re showing life how to repay you for your hard work.

Choose to be more productive and you will be sure to find success.

Have a lovely Wednesday.

I honour you!

22/07/2014 ~ #NicholasA ~ 15 Success Habits You Need To Develop. #2 Reliability!

How reliable are you? Can people commit things to you and go to sleep with the believe that you will deliver? Do you promise and back out at the 11th hour? From 1 – 10 on the scale of reliable people, where do you fall?

In the epic high fantasy movie, Lord of the Rings, we see that being unreliable has great consequences. In the story, there were a group of people known as the men of the mountain. At the rise of Sauron, these men swore an oath to the king of Gondor, Isildur to go to battle with him but when he needed them to stand against the enemy, they reneged, vanishing into the mountains and Isildur put a curse on them, decreeing that they would never rest until they had fulfilled their obligation. And they lived with that curse till they all died and even in death, they were not free from it. It was till they yielded to Aragon’s call and followed him to battle were they freed of the curse. Their participation in that battle gave the people of middle earth the greatest victory over the dark lord at the city of kings, Minas Tirith.

Someone once said “a shift in fortune tests the reliability of friends”.

Success is like a friend. Friends don’t trust you and don’t visit that often if you constantly let them down. In fact, you’re risking not having any friends at all if they find you utterly unreliable.

The same goes for success. You repel it if you don’t keep your word or don’t take your actions and behavior seriously. People won’t seek your services if over time you’ve let them down.

People need someone who they can rely on not someone that would bail out on them.

Ask yourself if you are a reliable person. If not, try to become so.

Have a productive Tuesday.

I honour you!

21/07/2014 ~ #NicholasA ~ 15 Success Habits You Need To Develop!

Habits describes how an individual naturally responds to things without a second thought.

Right from birth everyone of us developed different habits depending on our background and the type of training we received.

For example I recently learnt that whenever you return to the house after the days job or outing, the first healthy thing to do is to wash your hands before you touch anything in the house, it keeps the germs away. I bet a good number of us don't know or practice that before now.

Over the next 15 days, we will be learning 15 habits associated with success. Just like you have healthy habits that keeps you fit and in good health, Success also has it's own habits. Some you already know and has become part of your everyday life while some would be new to you.

1. Stability!
Sometimes, we become slaves to our emotions. With our emotions going down we also go down, and when our emotions go up, we rejoice. We allow this to rub off on the job we do and how we respond to people in the work or business place.

Sometimes it results in transfer of aggression, at other times it's mood swings. But whichever form it takes, if you can't keep it together, your success for that day is not guaranteed.

Try to master your emotions – refuse to be affected by them. If you keep yourself stable no matter what moods you experience, this energy of stability will attract success.

You have to be bigger than your emotions if you want to have a greater than average life.

Have a successful week ahead.

I honour you!

19/07/2014 ~ #NicholasA ~ 7 Life Lessons From Benjamin Franklin. #7 Make an Impression!

You have to begin to tell the story of your life as you now want it to be and would love it to be told when you are gone and discontinue the tales of how it has been or of how it is ~ Esther & Jerry Hicks.

We have been learning great lessons from the life of Benjamin Franklin and the last but not the least we would be looking at in this series is “Making an Impression”.

The current era we live in is characterized by so much sophistication and improvement compared to what it was 20, 50, and 100 years ago. We have better means of communication, we have better control over many sicknesses and diseases, we can move across great distances within a short time frame, we can get as much information as we need with little efforts and rite from the comfort of our homes, we can predict the weather and we can do so many other wonderful things that were not possible in generations past.

All of these were made possible by the men and women who walked this earth before us. Some found the principles and laws to achieve these things, others applied those findings in creating these beautiful things while yet another group worked hard at making these things available and ensured they were passed on to us.

That's why anytime you enjoy any of these things you always have reasons to appreciate their works and their names will never be forgotten cos' they made an impression.

Benjamin Franklin said, “Many people die at twenty five and aren’t buried until they are seventy five.” Because their works and deeds outlived them.

I hope you’re not dead, I hope you haven’t achieved all that you’re going to achieve; I hope your best days are in front of you and I think they are.

Our ultimate goals as human should be to               “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”         Until you do that, you have not actually lived.

It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things ~ Leonardo Va Vinci.

Go happen to things and be sure to leave a good impression behind.

The World is waiting for you!

Have a wonderful weekend relaxation and celebration.

I honour you!

18/07/2014 ~ #NicholasA ~ 7 Life Lessons From Benjamin Franklin. #6 Be Diligent!

Do you pay attention to all the necessary details that makes up that project or business of yours or are you just haphazardly running through them? Are you being diligent at it?

The WordWeb dictionary defines diligence as “Conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task; giving the degree of care required in a given situation”. It is a persevering determination to perform a task”.

It is of utmost importance to every one seeking success to develop a diligent nature to such issues as business, project, team etc. because just like every new born child, they need care and close monitoring in order to grow into maturity.

If you are not diligent enough, there is the possibility of missing out on crucial details that would have led to good outcomes.

Benjamin Franklin said “Diligence is the mother of good luck.”

If you want to be lucky, be diligent, the more diligent you are, the luckier you will be. Everyone has the ability to increase their luck so many folds by becoming more diligent.

King Solomon wrote “the diligent shall be made rich”.

How we do anything is how we do everything. The fact is, if we’re *truly* committed to living a life less ordinary, we’ve GOTTA embrace the moment to moment opportunities to bring our best to the world. It’s the aggregate of those little things that make the great and there’s simply no way we’re going to do the big things well if we only give part of ourselves to the mundane ~ B Johnson

Create the habit of being diligent in all you do, and you will be surprised at how lucky you become and how far you will go.

The world is waiting for YOU!

Have a lovely Friday!

I honour you!
