the people before Moses and said, let us go up at once and
possess it; we are well able to conquer conquer it. But his
fellow scouts said, we are not able to go up against the
people for they are stronger than we are...
The above line is
what you will find when you read the latter verses of
Numbers 13 of the Bible.
Not everyone around
you will believe your dreams, so many times it's not
because they wish you bad but it's just that they can't see
what you see, their believes are not aligned to yours or
they don't trust your ability to pull it off.
This is where your
ability to get others to buy into your dream comes to play.
You must be able to paint a vivid picture of it that it
takes shape and form in their minds. Once you've been able
achieved that, you've gotten your first and most important
set of people who can run with the dream.
Though at times, it
does help to hear why they have resentments about the dream
and why they feel you should not do it.
Henry Ford once
said "If there is any one secret of success , it lies in
the ability to get the other person's point of view and see
things from that person's angle as well as from your
own".
Once you've been
able to get their view, you can better convince them of why
the dream will succeed especially if you need their support
in one way or the other to pull it off. More so, it may
give you more ideas on the modifications you might need to
put into that dream or sometimes it could be a pointer to
some pitfalls to look out for.
But always remember
that "The easiest thing to be in the world is you. The most
difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be.

As much as you
listen to their opinion of your dream, it's still YOUR
dream. You alone better understand why you set out to
pursue it in the first place. Don't let anyone talk you out
of it.
If you want it
badly enough, there are no limits to what you can
achieve.
