Of
all the resources God has given to every man to create his or her own success,
time is the most important. That is why the bible says “… but time and chance
happeneth to them all…Ecl. 9 : 11”.
The
difference between a man who succeeds and the one who failed is how they spent
their time and energy. You cannot get the best out of the thing you give the
smallest time. You will agree with me that other than just the necessary
ingredients, a nice meal needs quality time and attention during preparation.
The same applies to that project, business, or dream of yours. If you want it
to be successful, you need to give it quality time.
A
great mistake we make at times is spending time on things that will not bring
us closer to our dreams. No man running a marathon stops to give a handshake,
it must wait till the finish line.
Studying,
building your business, associating with successful people are good ways to use
these two precious resources – time and energy – to invite success. The more
wisely you spend your time and energy, the more successful you become.
Socrates
once said “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting
the old, but on building the new”. If you want something greater than what you
already have, focus your time and energy on it.
Time
is an equal opportunity employer. Each human being has exactly the same number
of hours and minutes every day. Rich people can’t buy more hours. Scientists
can’t invent new minutes. And you can’t save time to spend it on another day.
Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving. No matter how much time you’ve
wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow, don’t waste that as well
